1UP score is actually 8.5 not 9.0 as most of the people think

It seems that only first score matters out of those 3 reviews. First score 8.5 is main score and is for 1UP page, other two are for EGM, those two other reviews are used to determine what game is game of the month. Or something like that, check it here

When it comes to 360 games they throw 10s like crazy, halo-10, bioshock-10, orange box-10(dont worry PS3 version will get lower score), gears of war-10, and if it is not 1, than 9s all over the place.

Funny how all those 10s are shooters. I guess 1up reviewers have a very limited taste for games.

Who cares anyway? I'll take games like Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank, God of War, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil and Silent Hill anyday. Maybe that's why i prefer Playstation consoles over the others.

yes, but they gave so many high undeserved scores to 360 games. Dan Shu even stated "Game does not need to be perfect to receive 10!" that was his response on criticism he got for overrating Halo 3.

It doesn't matter that much but still i think R&C:TOD deserves 9 because there isn't anything like it on the market.

I think Microsoft is giving all this review people money to blow up the scores on there games. Do you agree?Realist1101

No i dont think so. Its just that there are a lot of xbox fanboys in 1UP review stuff. And when it happens that they review PS3 games, they usually give 0.5 to 1.0 lower score than it should be. That is very obvious if you follow reviews on 1UP and who is reviewing.

This isn't as big of a conspiracy as you think. Perhaps these games are just better in those reviewers opinions. You think they deserve higher, and that is fine, but the people who review the games don't. Big deal, just as long as you enjoy the game is all that matters.

Just because Gears of War gets a 10, does not mean it is a better game than Ratchet & Clank, I know regardless of the score I'll get way more hours of enjoyment out of R&C.

funn y how they seem to relize it is a 9 but through the 8.5for the first one just toseem like it is not AAA title. i cant stand these sites latly even gamespot there just paid off and who ever does not relize this is well blind as a bat.i mean come on most of these site are owned by micrsoft. I won't be surprised if you are not too far off. M$ will do anything to make sure there games get the highest marks on certain sites, Like Halo 3 which has slightly updated graphics, short and crappy campaign, but yet garners perfect 10's everywhere. It seems like also, if a game is an FPS it will automaticly get 7.5 just for being a shooter.

This is why I don't trust reviews anymore, they are just one man/woman's opinion about how they feel about the game.

MS has too many people on its side working in the reviewing business and in game stores. It's starting to get really sickeningnow. I think people should start avoiding the 360 and jump on board the PS3 to show them all.
