2 disturbing games

Well next year there are lots of games coming out, but there are 2 which will stand out as probably 2 of the goriest games ever - Dante's Inferno and God of War 3. Personally I think they look amazing and can't wait to get my hands on them, but there is sure to be some speculation about the gore content ;)

I'm interested in Dante's Inferno. The book/poem was great.

I've never understood why people make a big deal out of that. You watch a cop show on prime-time TV, and you've got some decomposing body and the medical examiner is sticking his hands in there and pulling his guts out, holding them up in front of the camera saying "Oooh, look at that". But they make a big deal out of animated fantasy violence in a video game.

I never noticed how much gore actually means to me in a gory type game.. take ninja gaiden sigma 2 blood replaced by purple mist (at least in the demo) and i liked sigma and sigma 2 is the same except for the blood and gore.. and i just hated it.. i will still get the full game but there is just something off about it..

I really want both games but like always i want the ps3 exclusive more then the multiplat game.. lol

well to be honest, i am going to get both. the qustion is which one first. i leaning towards god of war3. but its still just a thought...

they both look solid games for ps3

I don't see God of War as disturbing. Gory yes, but not disturbing. Dante's Inferno however does look very disturbing, but I wouldn't expect any less for a game set in Hell. I'm surprised there hasn't been more controversy around Dante's Inferno to be honest, not for the gore, but the subject matter itself.

I'm looking forward to both games, but I'll probably get Dante's Inferno first because I still haven't played GOW 2.

God of War is most likely the goriest mainstream AAA franchise out there along with Gears of War.

Since when God of War became disturbing? It's more disgusting than anything.

People, gory and disturbing are different things! Gory is GOW and all of that. Disturbing is Dead Space, Demon's Souls or maybe even BioShock. Blood alone isn't disturbing. I don't think exploding heads and ripping off limbs are disturbing, they're just violent.

Disturbing is mutilating your own face with fork or cutting out your lips. Bitting off your fingers. Rip out someone's intestines and stranggle him with it. Having sex with a corpse. Parasitic worms bursting out of every pore from your body. Hitting someone's nuts with a baseball bat till he goes unconsious and give with a handjob until he ejaculates blood. Cutting out vaginal skin and devouring it.

God of War 3 does come into the disturbing category I think. Ripping guts out and heads off? I think so

Dante's Inferno and God of War 3 look beyond disgusting and that's why I love 'em I have no idea how Dante's Inferno will get past ESRB though without major cutsToriko42

I agree, the more gore, the better :)

Im interested in both but will only buy gow3, unless dantes inferno ends up being so good that it would be a crime to pass it up.
