I'm in the processes of buying a PS3, either the 20GB or the 60GB (used). My question is the 20GB able to play PS1 and PS2 games; if so, will it have slots for the respective memory cards? Also, if anyone would like to give me additional, noteworthy, specs comparison it would be greatily appreciated.
Yes, it can play PS1 AND PS2 games. No, it does not have any memory card slots. That, nobuilt-in wireless internetand the smaller HDD are the differences.
none of the ps3 have slots for ps1 and ps2 memory cards, the memory slots that the 60gb and 80gb have are media memory cards slots for digital cameras and such. u need to buy the sony memory card adaptator to transfer ur old save files from your ps1/2 memory cards

that mean's I will be unable to transfer old saves to the 20GB version?
That means you have to buy the PS3/PS2 Memory Card Adapter to transfer your saves to PS3. It's only $14.99 at Best Buy. Do this, buy it, use it, then return it and get your money back. That's what I did :P
As for the 20GB PS3, I own that system and it's just fine with me. It may not have Wi-Fi but I bought a Wi-Fi device for the PS2 and it works fine with my PS3. As for memory card slots and etc. for movies, images, and music, don't need it cause I use my PSP to transfer all my stuff.
