Killzone 2, Resident Evil 5, and Chronicles of Riddick is mainly what Im looking forwards to.

I have some tough decisions on the multiplatform games though so this is how Im thinking Im going to do it-

Single Player Only, non exclusive- PS3
Single Player Only, exclusive- 360 or PS3, whichever its on
Single, Multiplayer, non exclusive- Depends if 360 friends get it or not, otherwise= PS3
Single, Multiplayer, exclusive- 360 or PS3, whichever its on
Multiplayer Only, non exclusive- Depends what friends on 360, otherwise= PS3

Well 2008 will be a great year for Sony & the PS3 if even one good game is released, and wow they have a whole 365 days to try to deliver that one good game. With any luck it may be achieved.badboyblack

there is currently is no release date for Resident Evil 5. And I doubt it would come out next year, more like early 09.

I don't think it is a stretch to think that 08 will be better for the PS3 than 07 was. 07 was a bad year for the PS3, I don't care how big a fanboy you are, if you have any common sense at all, you can see that. Not only were releases on the system bad until the last quarter, but the delays and constant bad press certainly didn't help either.

I think the PS3 will make that 11 million target by 31 March this year though and things will only continue upward from there. I certainly have alot more to look forward to on the system this year than last with DMC4, Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan!, Senjou no Valkyria, Shirokishi Monogatari, Tears to Tiara, Makai Senki Disgaea 3, MGS4, Bionic Commando and SSFIIX:HD. I will not bother adding games such as FFXIII and Bio Hazard 5 to the list as I don't think they will make 08.

Well it's definitely the year PS3 will prove it self and flex it's muscles. basically this year will be the start of PS3's uprise and I'm sure throughout PS3's lifespan there will be alot of memorable years including 2008Swift_Boss_A

Well this year will host alot of established killer apps plus potential killer apps. You know the game so I'm not gonna mention them. 2007 had alot of new IP's and no established killer apps but this year will be a whole lot different for PS3.

Did you spend most of 07 in a coma or something? This was really a solid year of gaming, and thats saying something as there has been some strong years before it. Also is RE5 even coming out this year, the way Capcom talks it seems like that game wont be coming out for a long time.

Yes, I'll admit that Sony had TERRIBLE press since the PS3 launch until the last quarter of this year. I mean...remember late 2006 when the Sony Laptop Battery Recall was one of the top 3 blunders in business that year...$488 million gone. But I really think Sony proved to us in late 2007 that the PS3 is capable of even more than the PS2s success, and with Home, MGS4, GTA IV, DMC4, FFXIII, FFversusXIII, Haze, White Knight Chronicles, etc. etc. etc. It's just going to be a great year for all genres, and I think we are going to see some huge growrth from the PS3.

Yea I do agree that 07 wasint a great for PS3, but by the ending of 07 they did have a soild line up of games. Right now I own 11 PS3 games and only 1 is multiplatform.

Looks pretty sweet but from the looks of it, most of those titles might as well be dely....

For me I'm looking forward to White Knight Story, FF13 and RE5 the most. MGS4 and Killzone 2 are the most likely to be out in 08' though, and White Knight Story. It will be better then 2007, but if FF13 and RE5 don't come out this year, then it won't be the best.

RE5 doesn't come out this year. This is very old news. I highly doubt FFXlll will come out this year too...maybe late 08 or early 09.

probelm for me is I wont be able to get many games, I am saving up for a 26" sony bravia. It looks sooo good though, I have a GD tv downstairs but I want my own so I can play on my ps3 more.

I checked the sony store and this seems to be the best 26" to get. cant wait. then I can but KZ2, MGS4, GT5, LBP and all the other games coing out!

people who can't play dmc are usaully the ones who aren't impressed. what i'm saying is (got this from a quote on a forum, but can't remember who and may not be word for word so to the person who said along the lines of this don't eat me) "Dmc is a game you need to know the ins and outs in order to truely play the game, you need full control of dante in order to make him look good. If you just played it once and are a casual gamer that like action games like GOW or HS then yes DMC wont look as impressive as in GOW it takes nothing and no time to look good and own everyone. GOW is for causal gamers while DMC and NG is for hardcore gamers"

As much as i'd like to say NG is great, it really isn't. like the combat and gameplay is the best in the action games, but in other aspects like plot, characters, art, graphics, music and acting its....really bad.

anyways not to make this a dmc topic, i'm looking forward to off course the godly beast MGS4, or course DMC, RE5, FF13 and vs13, soul calibur, maybe tekken and....well we'll see.

Personally, I will wait before I get my hopes up. The last year taught me that when a PS3 game gets a release date, it's nothing but a damn suggestion. For all we know, half of these games could be delayed to 2009. Until the different companies stop toying with us, PS3 gamers, and give rock solid release dates, I won't contribute to any hype of any game.

But yeah, delayed game or not, we PS3 gamers have a bright gaming future ahead!

Yeah, but I had to wait until fall to play any of the good games. 2008 has good games coming almost consistently throughout the whole year.
