So I'm saving for a PS3 and naturally I'm slowing developing a wish list for that glorious day. Browsing both shops, online retail, and gaming sites here's what's got me going so far.
THE BIG ONES (Full Retail Price):
Yakuza 3-Never play the first two, but this movie buff loves some foreign gangster action. Not to mention it's (according to many, many other folks) got enough content to justify the $$$.
Red Dead Redemption-I love movies, westerns, and wish there was a pairing of the two that was merely adequate (I'm looking at you Gun, Call of Juarez, and yes, Red Dead Revolver). Problem is I'm not a fan of GTA by a long shot, but the emphasis on action as the dev diaries seem to indicate, plus triple A production qualities have me goggle eyed and hopeful.
God of War 3-Yeah, why not.
BOLSTERING THE LIBRARY (Used/Reduced price games old and new):
Infamous-Sly Cooper is my favorite game series ever. Sucker Punch could have made a 3D domino simulator and I would have bought it. Let me have this Fan Boy moment!
Demon Souls-Challenge? Did someone say Challenge? Bring 'em on! No wide eyed prissy boys either? YES PLEASE!
Alone in the Dark: Inferno-The revamped second coming of the ambitious horror title has my name all over it. First off, I've got the official GS score (7.5) backing me. Second, I flat out expect a good survival horror game in my Playstation library no matter what the number the system is. Finally, depending on how broke I am after buying a PS3, this may be the first game I own.
Dragon Age: Origins-The superior console version…yeah, this is a ridiculous fan boy thing, but I just finished Mass Effect 2 and crave more "choose your own adventure" action.
Darksiders-Again, technically superior to the 360 version (allegedly) and my kind of game. I like getting lost exploring dungeons with oodles of goodies to collect.
Okay I'm obviously missing a lot here-not even an solid multiplayer contender on this list-but I'm looking for your opinion. What else should I consider or flat out buy?
