As some of you know, i'm selling my 360 and most of my collection on ebay to get a ps3 but I want to know what the major differences between the 20gig version of the ps3 and the 60g version of the ps3 are. I see the 20g version version for about 400 and the 60g version for about 550-600 and i'm just wondering what the better buy is.

I got the 20Gb version since i dont use memory cards. Id rather burn a DVD-RW with data if I need to put something on the ps3.

Also I dont need Wi-Fi.

Wi-fi is basically wireless internet right? If thats the case I can just use a ethernet cable. Is it possible to upgrade from the 20g version to the 60g and since you have 20g, does your hard drive fill up quickly causing you to delete stuff a lot?

Should be pretty easy to replace the hard drive.  If that's what you plan to do then you might as well get the 20GB version.  Just swap to a bigger hard drive right away as you don't wanna have to transfer all the stuff you've downloaded later on.  With Sony planning on releasing high-def movies for download you're gonna want a bigger hard drive anyway.

I got the 60GB version.  The bigger HD, wi-fi and memory card reader are all big advantages for me.

I use ethernet cable. The harddrive is easy to replace with a bigger one if needed. Its just an ordinary S-ata laptop harddrive.

20Gb is more than enough for me. I dont have any need to put music, pictures or movies on my PS3 since I got my PC connected to my stereo and tv anyway.

Well, i'm still gonna try to get the 60g version. I have another question though. I'm selling about 3 xbox 360 games and about 10 xbox games along with my 360 and all of its accessories. Do you think this will sell for about 400-500 on ebay? If you want to know the games specifically I will list them for you.

I got my PS3 connected to my 5.1 receiver and a hi-def TV, so being able to listen to my MP3s (from my PSP) through my surround sound system and viewing the family pics on the widescreen tv are huge advantages.  Not having to worry about where my dsl router is because of my PS3's wi-fi capability is also a big plus.  Now, if I can just get remote play to work.  Somehow my PSP and PS3 won't play nice with each other.

You might get lucky and get a few bidders, but I don't see anyone buying that for that amount...I'm sure you'll get a better deal on Ebay than going to EB Games or Gamestop

Sounds like it's being phased out. Best Buy doesn't have a stock anymore. They are loosing more money with the 20GB version. Well, that's just my theory, as it takes more than 850 to make a PS3.

Just get the 60GB, the PS3 20GB isn't really enough long term memory, ask any 360 owner that, esepecially after new updates and downloadable content, 20GB just isn't enough.

oh yeah dude, both version comes with a ethernet cord so you don't have to buy it if you buy either 20 or 60 gb. and the 60 gb model has a chrome trim to it which makes it look nicer, but it doesn't do anything but looks nicer
