Its $499 USD and 499 pounds, a whole 100 $/pounds above the normal PS4, and its just the console, no bundle, no games, nothing.
I like the look of the 20th Anniversary edition of the PlayStation 4. To make 20 years of PlayStation Dec 3rd 1994-Dec 3rd 2014. I would love to get one of those special edition PS4 console. But with only 12,300 in the world that is unlikely it will take only 12 minutes for the whole stock to be depleted. But I will try
If I did ever mange to get one I would actually play it. Most people will just leave it in the box hoping that it will increase in value and turn a profit. And others will flip them on Ebay. But I would play the 20th edition PS4. Since I have promised that I will make it to PlayStation 9. Sony may not last that long as a company. But the PlayStation Brand should continue.
So congrats to Sony for 20 years of PlayStation So far there have been 4 home consoles and 2 portables and 1 micro console. So we will have to see what Sony has in store for the next 20 years of Playstations
I already have a ps4, but would sell this one to fund a purchase of the anniversary one in a heartbeat....but with only 12k....I doubt that will happen. Like someone else said, why limit it by that much? Make a good bunch of them (maybe 250K at least) where they're still kinda rare but if you want one you have shot, then make one with some embalm on it that's super rare and make only 12k of them. They would make a lot more money that way.

It most likely is because they only sold 12,300 PS1's worldwide from 3rd December to whenever this thing on sale (4th January I'm guessing).
