Hope you didn't buy the 80 GB PS3 yet.
Smarter person would get the 40 GB model and use the $70 to upgrade the hard drive.
[QUOTE="JohnM1983"][QUOTE="PSP107"]Is that 80 the PS2 compatible one?PSP107
No, that was the limited edition 60GB one.
My 80GB PS3 plays PS2 gamesSorry, I forgot about NTSC.
Yeah there was a limited edition 80 gig aswell in the states.
Either of them are not in production anymore since Aug 2008
Do I really have to tell you to get the 80 gig like everyone else? No, I don't... but I will...
Your topic title is a no brainer, since your only going to buy ONE PS3...probably EVER.
Get the 80 gig. YOU know it's a good buy. Get it! And if you already did by now, AWESOME!
Already did it by now! LOL.. man it looks so clean.. not having to worry about any scratches or potential problems it might have in the future :)Do I really have to tell you to get the 80 gig like everyone else? No, I don't... but I will...

Well, I'm not sure if you had already made your choice but I'd get the used one and with 70$ left purchase 250 GB hard-drive.
Unless the used model had some kind of damage to it you don't need to worry about it's stability when buying used. ;)
Well I got my 60gb PS3 stolen when my house got broken into awhile back and since the 60gb is discontinued - I am looking for a new PS3. I just won 2 auctions on eBay: a 40 gb "slightly" used PS3 for $230 and a 80gb brand new PS3 for $300 (also it is local - so I can pick it up). Which would you choose and why? I'm not really trying to spend a lot on another system, but yeah I'm torn between both: used, 40gb, & cheaper vs. new, 80gb, and costlier. HELP! Oh and I know - I will get reported for not paying for one of them - but F*CK IT LOL!binhzino
I just went through the game thing this week. At Gamestop their used 40gb PS3's do not come with a dualshock 3 controller. So for me it was worth getting the 80gb new since I would have spend the $55 on a new controller anyway. Not to mention it will be scratch free, clean, and have a much bigger HDD.
