go to playstation underground site and type this in and ull see other people are having the problem also.ps i have 100% signal Nat2 and after the update still NAT2 100% just 1 bar on cod
hell ya. last night cod4 was fine. today i installed 2.40 via USB and it lags like crazy just randomly, i even had the names of the other players just disappear. in game xmb works great but it seems 2.40 screwed my connection to the internet cuz ive even tried MGO but get disconnected after minutes. browser is irratically slow as well with frequent disconnects from PSN when im just in the XMB. so dont tell me its not 2.40's fault. heres to hoping they release a patch soon
If you playing far away from the host(Another country/continent), you'll get a bad connection. It's common.T-Machine99
exactly..what i do most times is when the initial screen comes up to choose your weapons at the beginning of the game i back out till it just shows spectating other playes and hit select.. look for my name and see what my signal strength is.. another thing is if you are in australia but you see heaps of american area codes back out straight away.. e.g..366 ..801 etc. When you finally get at least yellow..GaMe 0n!! :D

Hey guys, I used to play COD4 onile with no problems.Since last week i'm having a problem online . I don't know what is happening,but when I enter "FIND GAME" in the game lobby, the "DOWNLOADING GAME SETTINGS..." doesn't disappear. PLEASE HELP ME!!! P.S: I'm sorry if my english aren't good. It's because I'm brazilian.
