If you were affected negatively by the 2.40 firmware update, you may reply. Anyone who was not affected negatively by 2.40 firmware update, your replies would be considering aimless, as they serve no relevance to aid my concerns. Could moderators delete posts from users claiming they were not affected negatively? Thanky-poo. I want to know what did you have on your P.S. 3 hard drive when you downloaded and became affected by this new patch called 2.40. - Is your PlayStation 3 modified in any way? - Did you listen to, play, or watch copied disks on it? - Do you have Linux installed on your hard drive? - Are you using the hard drive that came with the console? - Is it possible to defragment the P.S. 3's hard drive? If so, when did you last defragment? - How much hard drive space did you have available when you downloaded the patch? How were you affected by the update? (Please be as detailing as possible. Describe every major, as well as minor, problems you have experienced): Have you tried any troubleshooting steps that rectified the problems you were experiencing? If so, please list all of them: Any questions I forgot to ask will be added into the first post as bolded text.
Well my PS3 didn't brick, but here are the problems I've experienced since I've had 2.40.
Mic no longer works.
Games lag and stutter.
The loading times are a lot longer
Only a few minor issues but still annoying.

Could you please answer fully? Your reply is completely useless without the necessary information to describe what may have caused it in the first place. I am trying to help, as well as get help, so we can all figure this problem out together. It would be appreciated if you would co-operate.
