Do you think that a game based on these amazing movies would pay off?
I just watched 28 Weeks Later so I can't really get it out of my head lol!
Well share your thoughts!

I love the films so a game would be cool. It could be like left 4 dead but with less weapons?REAL survival horror would be nice, but I don't know if it would sell well. It would be based on a movie after all
I was hoping Swine Flu would be the disease to turn the North Americas into this kind of post-apocalyptic wasteland, littered with military checkpoints and factions fighting for food and supplies... but alas, it was just a stupid cold.
While I was watching them I also was like "SWINE FLU!"...or should I say H1-N1... -_-I was hoping Swine Flu would be the disease to turn the North Americas into this kind of post-apocalyptic wasteland, littered with military checkpoints and factions fighting for food and supplies... but alas, it was just a stupid cold.

With Condemned style melee fighting perhaps?Or like Fallout, but not about a nuclear Fallout.
That's what I want.

Yeah, that'd be awesome...
That would be my dream come true. A third/first person open world zombie game, With most of the population infected or dead. fighting off hordes of zombies, finding survivours, building barricades (in an old abandoned mall obviously! :P), making weapons out of anything and everything and just surviving in general. Now THAT is a game I would buy.Or like Fallout, but not about a nuclear Fallout.

Yeah, it's the exploration aspect that excites me.

Oh yeah, if "I'm Alive" ends up being free-roaming, then I'll forgive the lame title and pick it up.
And no, not Fallout 3... I'm going to get the GotY version, though.
I think it could be interesting. But I'd rather see a game version of 30 Days of Night would be much much better. Just imagine a stealth/survivor/vampire horror game. You crawl around through the snow trying to make your way to safe zones. You have to protect survivors and bring them food and stuff. And then at the end you infect yoursefl to become a Vampire and take all those motha ****ers out with some crazy over-the-top pycho vampire power moves. It's be like playing two completely different games. And then after you beat it you can start off of that save with the cool powers from the beginning and just run through shredding people. I dunno.... i think itd be awesome. Of course, I'm a HUGE fan of the graphic novels (movie really did no justice. :()Nephilim83Thats the problem. The game would most likely look to the movie for inspiration, and end up being a spiral of mediocrity. :( The graphics novels were so awesome...then...the movie. I really liked the ancient language they spoke in though. That was awesome.

Yeah I was thinking of a game kind of like that. You would have objectives and try to go a certain route but it's blocked by zombies running your way! Then you would have to decided what to do! One possibility get in a car and go as fast as you can! Wow I really want this game now! Also the graphics have to be MGS4 material or somewhere around there ;-)You're not alone. I'd love a game like that. Fallout 3 didn't have enough survival elements to really feel post-apocalyptic to me.So am I the only one who wants a post-apocalyptic exploration/adventure/survival game?

lol @ "I am Alive". Dumbest sounding name EVER, but if it turns out good I might have to get it aswell.

At least the head vampire was freaking awesome. He was perfect. And, yes, the language was cool as hell. I think they could do something good with it if they just let the right people handle it and not base it on the movie. Kojima would be a good candidate I think. He's already done stealth, snow, and vampires. He's also admitted to having an obsession with Left4Dead and wanted to do a horror game. I think I'll write him a letter. ;)

I am alive looks cool IMO. I thought I just read somewhere that they put it back under the knife and were changing the title. I could be mistaken. I just hope that game turns out as cool as I'm expecting it to.LOL post of the night and for TC theres already enough zombie games, ad ones based on a movie might not be goodd, just pretend when playing dead rising or L4D that its 28 weeks laterI was hoping Swine Flu would be the disease to turn the North Americas into this kind of post-apocalyptic wasteland, littered with military checkpoints and factions fighting for food and supplies... but alas, it was just a stupid cold.

instead of doing a game based on the movies why not do a game based on what happens between the 2 games? that way you know were you start and end but creating the game they could get really creative. if it is a success they could do a game based on the time between the 2nd and 3rd movie. it could be interesting.
I just thought about this same thing today. Only thing is, it'd be kinda hard to pull off and make it good / interesting. It'd have to really be intense and hard. Maybe if it was some type of survival MMO, with hundreds of infected chasing people. Maybe like 100 to a server, in some part of those cities / rural areas. But then it'd be hard to find a point to be online after you're infected. Maybe you get ranked by hours of survival, and people who get infected who try to keep that record and quit early, they at least have to be infected an hour of online gameplay whenever they log back it. I guess. It'll still be hard to keep it interesting.
