NHL 10 is on preorder for 70 dollars, while its competitor is pricing their product(2K10) at 50 dollars everywhere... it seems that 2K has given up on its NHL franchise and have decided that consumers will by their product because of the price not the game... ur thoughts?

Well if that's how they have to compete than thats what they have to do .. I still don't think it means they are giving up.

2K has lost the NFL license, they can't compete with the NHL series in any way .. they only have NBA left, which they destroy all competition in.

NHL2K games do a lot right, but EA's crew working on NHL do everything better ..

2k's MLB line isnt bad. I loved 2k7, and 2k8 would have been great if not for the uber hard pitching.

My thoughts are YES PRICE WAR!! This happened a few years back when 2k was under selling EA's pricepoint and led EA to drop it's price. This is a good thing and I don't think it has anything to do with 2k thinking the game is no good or giving up on it. This is what the sports genre needs is competition.

NHL is boring, I think it's future doesn't look that bright. I enjoyed NHL games years and years ago, but they haven't improved much, maybe only graphically but that's it.

I hate to say it but 2k6, 2k8 and 2k9 were jokes, especially the latest one. The Show absolutely rapes the 2k series in every way possible.

Even though EA sports constantly burns us NFL fans with their yearly releases.

They do the complete opposite with their NHL games. Every single EA Nhl game has been off the hook
