Originally I thought this update was pretty meh but I just the video nd I gotta say Im impressed. I don't care about Facebook support but the update to the photo section is good and friends list looks oh so much better, seriously I am so happy they have changed the awful friends list. Now it looks like part of the XMB instead of something that sticks out like a sore thumb.

Where is the in- game cross voice chat? No where in site. Instead of giving us a good update, they give us this crap. Facebook is pointless, just like twitter. I think I might delete my twitter account I thought to myself a couple of weeks after I had got it, It was pointless. *shaking head*

Same here, Sony needs to stop putting **** all over the damn XMB; "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."
As for the friends list, that's alright, I would've liked to see the trophies and whatnot on the XMB when highlighted, but at least it's not going to be a ton of gray blocks.
The highlight of this update for me is the friends list but I'm kinda scared to download this update, you just never know if it'll do something bad to the system again. I'll wait a few days just incase, there's no rush. Where's cross chat?

Firmware usually is released on Tuesday and the PS store is updated on Thursday. Or that's the way it's been from day one for the PS3 most of the time (a few firmware updates have come on different days a few times. Remember back when every Tuesday there was a firmware update for a while.
Honestly, it is pointless update because it doesn't address many of the long asked features such as cross game chat and backwards compatibility. Who cares about my latest trophy information or PSN purchasing activity?
Honestly, I was hoping more for an installable "app" that let you check your facebook, instead of using the horrifically slow browser. Hopefuly this is what they meant whent they said:
"This is just the beginning of our integration with Facebook and we are looking forward to adding new features enhancing the experience in future updates."

Why do you need in-game internet? I all for updates but that seems a bit extreme. which console has that feature?
Wouldn't you like to be playing a hard game and then just press the xmb, go to the browser, open up a faq, and then once your done reading continue playing in a button press? I'd love it for Demon's Souls and Uncharted 2 treasure hunting.
Voice Party Chat or don't update at all, Sony. I don't care about Facebook and I know other people don't care about voice chat, but god damn! Just take the one last thing MS has over you when it comes to features. Though the NXE looks tons better than the XMB, but nothing can change that. :P

pretty nice update although the facebook intergration seems pretty pointless. if i wanted people to know everytime i buy a new game then i would just sign in to facebook (maybe even from my PS3's broswer) and update my status
I have a cool idea. Sony should make it so when you're going through your friends list each friend can assign their favorite song to their ID. So when you go through them each favorite song starts playing.

That would be annoying and I would never look through my friends list if it did that.
But the facebook thing is kind of cool I guess. I would've liked to see more in this update, but I guess it'll have to wait.
