So what exactly happened with the processor speed. Did it get unlocked? Or is it only on the slims since I read they have a more efficient battery? (and if so will this result in fancier looking games?)

Oh so the older games will still be executed using only 222mhz? Was this a hardware lock or a software lock? (as in the games themselves locked the CPU use to 222) Cuz theres some games I use to have that had bad FPS that I'd like to try again lol. And do any of the new release games use it? Syphon Filter: LS, Manhunt 2 etc.

I belive it was the games. In an interview i saw on the new GoW game with the developers they said that they begged sony for them to unlock it because with 333mhz a lot can be done to make games look good. Sony was reluctant but finaly gave in. In that same vid they showed a before and after of what it looked like. You could see many differences. So its there, but for some reason Sony doesnt like using it for whatever odd reason.

And as far as i know no other game uses it. Its a shame too becuase all that extra power really makes a difference.

It's cuz itll eat more battery power and then complaints of low battery life will swarm in. We'll have to see in March.

Jeez why can't Sony just make a battery with more mAh. I mean if AA or even AAA batteries could substitute some extra juice, I'm sure they could make a battery that holds more charge.

Then again I know nothing about batteries.
