If you ask a PS3 forum what you should get the overwhelming response will be get a PS3. Is money an issue for you? Do you like the games coming out for the PS3? Will you get any use out of Blu-Ray? there are more question to ask before you decide but that's a start.

If you can afford one get it, with games like lair and ninja gaiden out soon, with the interesting Home not to far off either also with heavenly sword, killzone 2, final fantasy 13 , GT5, ratchet and clank, uncharted drake's fortune and so on, you will also need a console to play GTA on!! so you will need a working one....and you cant be sure ur next 360 will make it

yeah monkey is tight. I like mgs4 and resident evil 5 but really havent kept tabs on what else is going to be released. Blue ray looks very apealing to me. I am a Home theater buff. I have a nice diy 18 inch subwoofer that pounds with movies. I have like over 100 dvds. My 360 was my main dvd player does the ps3 play regular dvds good? if I have a 1080I tv will blue ray still look good or only on 1080p? Is there recievers that decode the new high definition sound yet for blue ray?

dude what do you think the answer is going to be? you're asking it on the ps3 forum. for your question, take it from a 360/ps3 owner, wait untill the ps3 gets a couple of more games because right now its not worth it

Sure, why not? It plays games too. I can't stand faulty hardware. When you shell out your hard earned cash, your pruchase shouldn't crap out on you until the next gen comes out. That is, of course, assuming that you take proper care of your kit. Which I'm sure you do.

a cheap PC won't play newer games very well and it will still probably cost you more than a ps3. you'd need to spend at least $800-$1000 to build a decent gaming rig, and that will probably be dated within 1-2 years. on the other hand, if you really enjoy FPS, then PC gaming is the way to go. in all honesty, the 360 has reliability issues, and Microsoft STILL hasn't fixed the problem that causes the "ring of death" in the new "Elite" model. there are some units that seem to be reliable, but the failure rate is considerably high. if you want to risk spending another couple hundred on another 360, that won't be a horrible idea, as you probably already have a library of 360 games. but i think the ps3 will be a good choice.

I've had the same problem(the 360 was my first console in 20 years to die on me), on the waranty I got a second 360, which died even faster then the first one, after that I decided to pick up my PS3, and I'm very pleased with it, the PS3 looks great on 1080i, or even 720p(for games), sound setups are a bit beyond me, so I can't help there. But the PS3 is a much more reliable machine then the 360.
