360 owners who have just added a PS3 also !

This thread is for those who have had a 360 and have finally added a PS3....I pick mine up tonight and I'm pumped. I am getting the 80gig MotorStorm package.

Any tips on deciding which console to buy the new games for? Example: I have Rainbow Six Vegas 2 on 360...if I had my PS3 already I would have to research which version is best. I know they are probably really similar but it makes it kinda confusing. It has a bit of slowdown and I wondered if PS3 was better.

I have pre-ordered GTA4 for 360 and I wonder what the PS3 version will be like.

Do you guys just "wing it" cause it all really the same?

Sorry for the excitment thread....I can't wait to play Formula One...as a huge fan, this is the game I have always wanted. I already have the PSP game and supposedly they can transfer save files....they say.Also Motorstorm and GT Prologue.

It might just be me but the PS3 games seem to have bodies staying more (sorry, bodies staying is one of my things).

even in Heavenly Sword I think it was.

and I even saw it in the videos for the next Ninja Gaiden game.

AHHH it's just like the mid 90's when we had the PS2 and Xbox together next to my TV...ya just can't lose ! and before that the Genesis and SNES....good times.

now I need a new TV. How many times have you read that.

In the same boat here as well. Got my PS3 a little over a month ago after having the 360 for a while now. The deciding factor for myself was my recent purchase of my 65" 1080p set and wanting to get into Blu-ray. Also the fact that I've got an extra 20gig on this system (went with the 40gig retail verson) compared to my 360, free on-line gaming and a host of great games as well. Oh....did I mention Blu-ray, the PS3 as far as a upconverting DVD player has retored new life into my existing DVD collection while allowing me the pleasure of slowly but surely building it back up with Blu-ray movies!

I'll definetly continue to game on the 360 and enjoy it but I love what the PS3 has done for my setup so far. Can't wait for GT5, GTAIV, MGS and so on....:)

It's great to see others who have both systems and just want to have good games. It sure solves the fanboy thing. Everybody should have both...then it's just the game.heh,heh.

Of course you have no options on exclusives. Otherwise get games that are co-developed on PS3...ie:COD4. Less chance of RROD and equal if not better visuals. If it's a port, get it for 360 as of right now. Since most developers are doing 360 first and porting to PS3 you'll get the better version...ie:ANYTHING Ubisoft.

Good tips about being developed on 360 and ported to PS3.

I played COD4 on 360....I guess I should rent it on PS3 and see.

One of my big favs on 360 that everyone hated was Kane and Lynch. I really like it even with it's flaws. Now I want to see what it is like on PS3. The split screen co-op is great fun, blood, bodies stay....aiming kinda like Mass Effect (I liked the shooting in that, some hated it).

This is going to be fun comparing.

So now I have 360,PS3,PSP,DS lite.....I don't really want a WII, no offense but y'know how it is when you don't play those kind of games much? It took two years for any DS games I like.

I am completely game console addicted now.

and coming here is like hanging out in a dealers house ! heh,heh.

I got a 360 and PS3 within a couple weeks of their launches. I buy games that come to both systems on 360 due to Xbox Live and achievements. I'm for sure getting GTA4 on 360 due to the exclusive DLC content coming to it in the fall.

Games I own on PS3 are: Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Ratchet, Warhawk, Resistance, Motorstorm, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Hot Shots Golf and DMC4. I know I said I buy games available on both systems on 360, but I didn't buy DMC4. I won it in a drawing.

Im surprised at how one game effects it all. This whole "they were not ready for so many PS3 MGS bundle packages to be sold." Many were waiting for that one also. As some will with GoW3. Im sure the a TUN will wait on FF. More so in the east.

Rockstar says the color pallatte on the PS3 version is a little warmer, which I'm assuming is a good thing. Probably runs better on the PS3 due to the hard drive, which R* made an enormous deal about in the news recently.
