i bought a 4 gig stick yesterday frmo gamespot and it is terrible. It is the slowest transfer speed i have ever seen, and if im trying to get a video on there forget it, it just cancels it out. has anyone had this problem? should i exchange the card and get another one? thanks for the advice
And stay away from Sony-made ones. I had a 4-Gb Sony card that would routinely fail to read (steady blinking led) and according to Google searches I'm far from the only one. SanDisk has always treated me good. Be wary of really cheap memory cards, as they're probably clunkers.

Never do business with Gamestop or eBay. Two of the biggest scam businesses ever created. I mention eBay because they're big on selling mem sticks.
i couldn't disagree with you more, i have a 4GB MS and it rocks. i've had no problems transfering, pics, vid, games, and other "magic" software stuff :)
the only problem with my 4gb ms is that it isn't an 8gb ms.
I am going to be getting a 4GB MS I know a store that sells them for $55themovi3nut
55 is not a great deal. I got mine at Gamecrazy for $35 (39.99 - 5.00 for my mvp discount) but they only had 2 of them in stock. this week Best Buy has decent deal on the 2gig by the way.
To the TC......NO the 4gig i have works perfect. so its not that the 4gigs are horrible, you just bought a bad one.
i have 2 4gig mem and they great...even wit big files like 1gig transfer its like 2-5min....cant complain...but advice i hear sony 4gig transfer was slower....i compare my 4gig to my 32mb and the 4 is way faster
They have 2 types with different speeds. You'll find the ultra fast ones and the normal ones. Only time you'll really notice a difference is when your transfering a big file.
