How many of you are having memory problems??? (ie. not enough space)gamer_spWell I have to many videos on it.
I stuck a 320 gig drive in mine. Downloaded a few demo's and had 2 games that's it. Went out and bought Ratchet and Clank, when i tried to play it for the first time, it told me I didn't have enough hard drive space. I noticed also when I first put the drive in it told me I had a 290gig drive, but only 249 gigs left on it. After I deleated all the demo's off the drive ratchet installed and ran just fine. I think it might just be some games have a problem with reading the drive. I still don't get how i still only have 249 gigs left, just like the first time I used it, but now have 5 games installed on it. Anyone have any answers, it would be of great help.loftus42Playstation software/firmware/hardware settings Im thinking.

Thanks though. Good suggestion. Might be cured in a firmware update. Fingers crossed.
I have a 20 GB and I still have plenty of space, but that's because I only have 3 games. I am planning to purchase a 500 GB hdd though for $80 bucks after rebate.
My 40GB has about 17GB of space left. I got 3 GTA HD trailers, one RE5 trailer, a couple retrospective episodes from Gametrailers and at most, 2 game demos at any one time.
I'll become concerned when that space thins out with MGS4. I've got UTIII, GTA4, DMC4 installed on the harddrive.
Music does not occupy any space : I stream it through my local area network on my iTunes-equipped PC. That's 25GB of music conserved right there.
i'm a PS3 hardware noob, not afraid to admit it...i pretty much got my PS3 for MLB The Show, MGS4, KH, and FF...and other games along the way...but if i really get into adding other content to it, how hard is it to install and use added HDD's?johnnyv2003Not hard at all. You just unscrew the old one and remove it from the PS3. 1 screw holds it into the PS3. The carrier it's in has 2 screws on each side, remove those, and put the new drive in it's place. Put the screws back in, and be careful not to press on the drives surfaces too hard, though. Push the carrier back into the PS3, replace the last screw, and the cover. And your done. Almost. Before you power it up, get a game disk, the newest one you have, turn the PS3 on. It will tell you that the disk need formatting, and a operating system. Put the game disk in, and follow the instructions. About 1 half hour later, get back on-line and update your operating system just like you would normally. Now your done!

if i have game saves on my 20 GB disk, is there a way to get those transferred to the new HDD?

Only by transferring them to a flash drive like a usb drive, BEFORE you replace the HDD. then after you replace the HDD, transfer them back onto the new drive.[QUOTE="johnnyv2003"]Not hard at all.
