Well I could get my PS3 this weekend. I've had it planned out for a while but now with the 80 GB coming out soon, should I wait?

It kills me to sit here and watch all of you talk about these kick a@s games and me sitting back and not playing.

Should i wait?

since the 80GB will be out in a couple weeks (I think they said early August???) and it will be the same price, I would wait. You should be able to get the 80GB on realese, or the 40GB might get price-dropped to move through the get 80GB on the shevles

Does the extra 40 Gigs really that important? Am I going to need them in the future?

Yes, you should wait, for one simple reason: the 40GB has a Sixaxis in the box, which sucks. The new 80GB will have DS3, which doesn't suck.

This is a good point. The DS3 is much better than the sixaxis IMO.

Yes! You will need the extra 40 gigs, since alot of PS3-games requires an installation on the hard-drive. Some of them use up to 5 gigs.

Which I have no problem given that they make the games smooth as hell!!!

I have a 40GB and I don't think I'll ever run out ....

There aren't enough great games to fill 40gb ...

plus you can delete the install file - problem solved

I wouldn't be able to wait ... no point in my opinion

dude just get the 40Gb. if you need the extra space then you can always upgrade the HDD. and i don't think the new 80Gb PS3 will be BC so once you upgrade the HDD you will have the same thing that is going to be released.

40gb is not enough, my hard drive is already full and I only bought half the games I'm planning to. Deleting installs sucks... Why buy the game if you're gonna delete it?
