I would get the 40gb. 40gb isnt much but neither is 80. Card reader is useless. Both have wifi. 40gb is cheaper too.

If you're looking for PS3 game and not BC. the 40 GB is a great deal and instead of paying 500.00 you can buy it with two great games like Assasins Creed, Call of Duty 4, Ninja Gaiden Sigma or Ratchet. I to found the SD card and MemoryStick slot useless because i don't use then and two USB is sufficient for a games machine, remember this is not a Computer is a gaming system.

When comparingt the 40 GBPS3 with the 360 it still have more Harddrive space, Wi-Fi and Blue Ray Player.

In your case, get the 40gb, and then upgrade the HDD yourself. It's easy. I got the 80gb because I don't have a PS2, and I've already used up 30gbs in media and demos.

I would get the 80 GB. I have a 60 and it's filling up fast.

Playing all of your PS1, PS2, and PS3 games on one system really cleans up the entertainment center. The 80GB has really good BC now. And remember, it's the only way to play your older PS1 and PS2 games with official Sonywireless controllers. Recently I've been laying in bed playing Final Fantasy X, life is sweet wireless.

I would go with the 40 and saves some bucks. That way you can still play your ps2 if you want, but you can have some ps3 games sooner.
