Question about the now standard $400 80 g PS3, Is it BC?

I thought I read it wasn't but have heard otherwise from others and posts on the various forums, although it all could be misinterpretations on my part. I'm in the market for a PS3 and am wondering if I should get the new 80 G. or just get an older with BC and just get an external hardrive.

^lol that was pretty funny. but seriously. I dont think the new 80gb has backwards capability. Only the 80gb with MGS4 does, so either get that or try to find a 60gb. Check this link

No BC on the new 80GB or 160GB... Sony said there will NEVER be BC in another PS3 again..

Go out and get an 80GB MGS4 Bundle while you still can. There were big shipments sent out over the weekend in Canada, so the U.S. stores probably got them as well.
