My friend says he was fiddling with his 40GB PS3 one night while drunk so he doesnt remember how but he says he got it to play PS2 games, I havent seen it in action though. Is this realy possible, if so, how?
the best PS3 to get is the 60gb (the one i have) cuase it has built in hardware, unlike some which have emulation software, or just no ability to play PS2 games
Your friend must have been really drunk to even think he was playing a PS2 game on the 40 gig system because not only does it not have any kind of software for this but there absolutly no hardware that supports PS2 games built into the 40 gig system.

This thread probably gives hope to somebody out there with a 40gb and no PS2...shame that hope has to be torn from under them. Shame on you TC, shame on you...
In this case I don't agree. I have more consideration for those who provide misinformation out of ignorance, but when they blatantly lie about something, they deserve it.
As for the poster; use some common sense. If intelligent people who are sober can't get it to work, then I can't see how someone who is intoxicated is going to either. My guess is that the only way you're going to see a PS2 game work on this particular PS3 is by slamming down a few brewskies. There's the secret.
I read somewhere that the 40gb could run ps2 games if sony wanted to, maybe later. The could make some emulator software so the 40gb version also be able to run ps2 games.
