So for a long time it use to be hot around my house, the room in which I keep my ps3 was about 80 degrees F. And if I left my ps3 folding, after about an hour, it would get pretty loud. As in near 360 level loud.

But recently it got colder and the temp of the room got to about 75 degrees. And guess what? It's MUCH quieter. I can leave my ps3 folding for 5 or more hours and it would be super quiet! Much, much quieter.

But now it's gotten hot again and the temp in the room is back to 80 degrees and guess what?! My ps3 is loud again while folding!

So can 5 degrees make that much of a difference? Have you experianced this?

yep, I have this problem. But I also keep my PS3 in a cabinent (with the door open), so it doesn't exactly get good air circulation. Although its no XBox, so its not like it breaks or anything...

my ps3 is in my room, and when it on my room gets so hot, and it ventilated, and the rest of the house is freezing, i hate how the ps3 makes my room so damn hot, and i barely play. (also my 2nd ps3)
