How about user-created maps. Once more games start implmenting this feature, online play will be far more robust.JKnaperekIt would be even better if the user creation tool was on a PC for more features, then the maps get transferred or uploaded whichever method fits better, console editors seem to be very basic and having this on a PC would open up some damn fine maps by people highly adept at modifications and user creations. But if the tool is on PS3 then fair play it will still be nice to have a stream of user created maps to add variety.
Better platforming. I want maybe a bit more thought to be put into the platforming aspect. It's great, but maybe a bit harder would be nice. Like someone else said, it kind of sucks when you think you are racing against the clock to make it off a collapsing (insert something here) only to stop and find out that it only collapses after you have left and never before.
Along the same lines of the above, harder puzzles would be good, a realise that this would not be good for some younger players and such, but I want at least a bit of a challenge.
More environments, I want underwater and I want desert. Naughty Dog would absolutely nail both settings. Something in the air might be interesting as well. I do not want melee weapons, I love Drake's no nonsense fisticuffs just the way it is.
Interesting stuff, here's my list:
- Do a story without the supernatural plot twist
- Tone down Nate's super ability to jump and climb when scaling large cliff's or whatnot
- Allow hit detetction to hinder enemy abilities
- Add co-op to the main campaign, or a side story - similar to Resistance 2
- This last one is more of a personal rant, but I want better balance for the campaign's difficulty. I felt the first 70% of the game was somewhat of a challenge on normal difficulty, but the last 30% became a frustrating trial and error experience, especially the final boss battle. It reminds me of the last level from Killzone 2, which was a super up-hill battle.
Feel free to agree and/or disagree
That list was more like 3.5 than 5 and a weak 3.5 at that, its just your standard "I want more random marketing bullet points". The map editor, I could care less about that, whether it happens or not; however its rather unlikely. Melee weapons are terrible idea, Drake is not kind of fighter, not just any schmuck can pick up a sword and start hacking people up. The game doesn't need that, I think them simply expanding on the environmental interactions during melee would suffice. Like say your fighting a guy and he counters you and pushes you up against some crates, when you hit the counter button instead of Drake doing the standard duck and punch; he grabs like a box from behind him and hits the guy in the face with it. Co-op is another bad idea, Uncharted is not a game you can just stick another player in, the game would have to be balanced for two players. And when you stuff co-op into a single player game and do that, it doesn't work i.e Resident Evil 5.
When it comes to plot twist, UC2 actually had a number of them, they were all kinds of predictable, but it wasn't just one. The supernatural thing wasn't a plot twist, your looking for a supernatural treasure. If it doesn't exist, makes the whole thing pointless, if it does exist, then obviously its going to be tied up in the supernatural.
Make it so you actually die if you don't go fast enough during climbing sections. The way it's scripted, it always makes it look like you "just missed" an obstacle, even though it'd occur no matter what speed you went.KHAndAnimeUncharted isn't a platformer, it doesn't have the mechanics for that. All that would be is annoying trial and error. the point of it is to be cinematic, not test your platforming acumen; for that kind of thing you need Mario jumping, he is more LBP jumping.
if its the same quality of 2 compared to 1, then we're good...
U2 is still my favorite 'current gen' sequel, havent seen a better sequel that improved on so many levels so far...

So I guess you'll be glad to know U3's plot will be the same as U2?
I guess you'll also be glad to know that U3 will have only 3 new weapons and have all of the old weapons. Also that this time around you use the FAL more, since most enemies will be carrying that weapon, unlike Uncharted 1 where the AK was the most carried, then in U2 the m4 was the most carried weapon.
Oh! and if you like that stupid supernatural thing then I guess you're in luck too....
(seriously, how did U2 improve THAT much over U1? it's the same damn game)
I'm spoiled by Team Fortress 2 where the online is amazing and there's an ever flowing abundance of newly created maps all the time. DLC maps don't work. You buy them, which is a waste of money, because people only play them for a few weeks and then its impossible to find matches that include new maps. You also can't say its not possible to include a map creator...LBP changed all that. If they can create a game that can create other games, then its totally possible. It's just a matter of getting the right people to properly code and implement.I like those suggestions but I can hardly see them adding a map editor in a generation ruled by DLC map packs.

It just ends up being a frustrating trial and error procedure. There was one section in U2, in the caves with Tenzin, where the platforming was timed and I thought it was one of the worst parts of the game.
nothing wrong with uncharteds gunplay, its solid enough. only improvment i can think of is raising the online cap from 10 to 12 lolThe only improvement I can think of is gunplay. Neither Uncharted games had solid gunplay.

I think that Uncharted 3 gameplay should be like RE5 where you have to be careful in cinematics cause you might to push buttons in cinematics to determine your fate. you know, whether you live or not... that should be interesting. the player will have to stay sharp when they're watching the cinematics. absolut_gamerz
You mean Quick Time Events ;)
Yeah that'd be cool
1. No more Nazis! I get it they were evil and power hungry, but lets move on. There are other groups and factions that are/were similar.
2. More realistic enemy placement. Nothing like climbing for a half hour after dispatching 30 baddies in the middle of ruins that nobody has set foot on in centuries, only to find a swarm at the top of the next ridge. Makes no sense. Maybe add dangerous animals or boobie traps instead (think original tomb raider)
3. Better puzzles. I find them more tedious and pace slowing, than fun and challenging.
4. Broader range of weapons (flamethrower anyone?) I liked the gun turrets in among theives, and i think they should add more vehicle use as well.
5. More character development and background. Id love to know more about Drakes relationships in the past with: Sully, Chloe, and Harry.
