devs will never "forget" about the 360 this gen. it has a larger install base than the PS3, and if anything MORE games are going to 360. FFXIII ring a bell? more devs are going to be looking to 360 for games, as PS3 development prices continue to skyrocket due to overpriced bluray disks.
Who let the 360 fanboy in? Seriously, guy, why post in this forum? Microsoft paid Square Enix to port FFXIII to the 360; it had little to nothing to do with the market. It has to do with the obscene assets that Microsoft possesses, and still manages to release the least oustanding console (albeit a year early bravo).
At any rate, a 500GB Blu Ray Disc is more or less obsolete before it exists as regards gaming. While Blu Ray boasts significantly higher data transfer rates than DVD's, by the time games are 500GB, they're going to need very high data transfer speeds, much higher than BD's maximum. Expect a new technology by that point. We won't see a disc that big this generation in all likelihood because it's cheaper to compress data, and since a console architecture can only support a certain level of graphical intricacy, a 500GB "next-gen" game would have to be GIGANTIC temporally and spatially.
If anything, I think games are headed in the direction of Ratchet and Clank; episodic content that seems cheaper to consumers even though in the long run it's far more expensive.
