Hiya all!

Its almost end of March, and the big question is, are we 6 million yet?

With the whole world with PS3's maybe were close! Don't you think?

I doubt Sony will hit 6 million by end of March. Only shipped 1 million to europe and most retailers have plenty in stock (UK wise). Not sure what sales figures are like for Aussie, Eastern & American markets. Ps3 won't pick up sales til Xmas 07. Myself and I'm sure others will be looking for some big titles around that time on Ps3.

No matter what they ship it'll be like 3m sold. They really need to just go ahead and cut the price. Heavenly Sword and Lair are going to be great but they're not really system seller genres and will do little to move units.

Totally agree... You wanna know who wins this console wars its not us the real gamers. We help spread the word, buy the most and proper games, choose systems early on and get launch systems up and running. But the casuals are coming 100+ million of them and which system they are gonna choose?? Who can tell PS3 should ease it but things have changed at the moment. The price and bad vibe dont help it....

No their target was to have 6 million systems shipped to retailers by the end of March 2k7. They may hit that mark but 3 million of those systems will be sitting on store shelves.

For sony Shipped means Sold. They sell their consoles to the retailers. They have already announced that they shipped 4 mill and that was last month.

Yeah, but don't forget that MS processes their shipped and sold the same way Sony does. So for Sony to ship 6 mil to stores is still no small feat and good for them.

Lol you still follow nexgenwars.

After the European release, there was an increase in almost 300k units. Even after several reports of UK alone selling out 500k. I think this proves their numbers are way off. Vgcharts is more accurate.

Sony may miss their 6M target, but it's gonna be very close at least.

Well if the current trend says anything about what console they are going to choose, it looks to be the Wii. It is outselling the 360 and PS3 combined(nearly). If they could get production rolling out well on it, I suspect it would have already passed the 360.

If the PS3 sold over 2 Million consoles with almost no decent games to speak of...then i have confidence. We finally got Oblivion and its only going to get better from here.

I hope sony will do something to enable them to realize their goal of getting 6million units by the end of march. This is what they're predicting before right?. And when xmas2007 comes, sony will steam roll the over competition. And 10 years of little sleep at night begins! lol
