6/11 Details Are Here Early!!!

I posted yesterday that an IGN editor responded to the AGN podcast saying that they would have info on the game today or tomorrow... well, it's up. AND as I said yesterday.... it is The Agency:

He couldn't say with certainty that it was the same game they were referring to in the podcast, but AGN actually hinted that the details that would be coming forth on Monday from them was actually from The Agency....

Except for the fact that this isn't something that they are keeping secret. The embargo is just now being lifted.

There is a press embargo on the announcement until Monday.  AGN said the only way it would get out early is if some magazine happened to leak theinformation.  This hasn't happen.  IGN recieved it's information ligitmately, and only has concept renders of the project, so it can't be the game AGN was saying, "It was real time!" about.makingmusic476

No, what AGN said is that there will be mags that release the info early due to lead time for print... which was likely pointing at the PSM article on The Agency which surfaced this week in the first place. Either way, he already hinted that The Agency was the game he was referring to in the forums... this is the news, love it or hate it. It could definitely be cool... just not as earth shattering as they made it sound.

And I'm at work, so I haven't been able to actually look at the footage yet. But if you read the article, it says that they were actually shown clips of the gameplay.

No its not, The game on June 11th is a Ps3 exclusive but as for this its coming out on pc and ps3. Also on 6/6/ 07 podcast he stated that the game hasn't been revealed yet. Get your facts straight plz next time

I haven't watched the footage yet... just read the article.... but I'm still going to wait to see is there anything else on Monday. Because although this sounds cool, it's hardly worth all the fuss that was being made over it. Maybe actual footage will prove me wrong???haze_blaze

Yeah and i read about the agency in a magazine called "power unlimited" (dutch gaming mag) from this month and that came out a couple of days ago.

Bet on it.... THE SAME GUY FROM THE PODCAST HAS ALREADY HINTED THAT THIS IS THE GAME IN HIS OWN FORUMS. This game is developed & published by Sony & likely would still be considered a PS3 exclusive. Prepare to have your feelings hurt if you're expecting something else.

I think it would be cool if there's yet another announcement on Monday... just highly doubt it's going to be anything different. AGN didn't name the game, but when one of the forum members made a post talking about how cool The Agency sounded, he responded that there might be some new info on the game on 6/11. How much more plain & simple can it get???

Uhhh no :|. An embargo being lifted means that the press is now able to report on it. The podcast stated that there would be magazines that get to release this data early because they got lead time on the embargo... not really sure how that applies to IGN. But in the IGN forums, the IGN editor didn't know of any other major press releases coming out prior to E3.

He said it to take every1 off the killzone crap and so every1 wouldn't think that sony is giving this huge announcement..if you listened to the podcast he said it hasn't been revealed yet and on The Ps site, my boy cheese stated all these things ( including Agency wasn't the game) and that the Agency isn't it and Scot replied that Cheese was 90% true ( which is practically true or you can say confirmed) about his statement ..also because after ( Agency) it was annoucned Scot said he wasn't impressed about it. Aslo Th Agency isn't a Ps3 exclusive its coming out on PC!!!

Since this MMO Agency has been rumored the All Games podcast has only mentioned this once in the past 3 days and it was not in the news section. They're under the embargo so that make sense that they don't even mention the game once during "gaming news". By the way the All Games show is on right now and gaming news is over for today. mikeslemonade

Do you listen to All Games?  They usually talk about all the news.  There was 2 or 3 news stories regarding the Sony MMO Agency, but Jessica the co-host did not mention it in gaming news.  Also All Games is a daily show from M-F.  I just find it weird that they hardly mention the Sony MMO since clearly it's the biggest news item compared to all the news they have been talking about the past few days such as Pacman championship.  By the way you can listen to the show live right now at allgames.com.

Well yea you should be happy because it's not going 360.  Sony is going to make money on the PC and the PS3.  PC isn't MS.  I just to see some great gameplay as Scott said and i'd be totally sold on this game.

Well The Agency obviously wouldn't be going to any other consoles, besides the PS3. You guys are acting like this isn't still good news... There may be footage at E3 that blows everyone away (depending on how far along it is). But you guys thinking that it was something bigger considering E3 is a month away... that's kind of silly.

This is just me speculating that the game under embargo is the Agency, so I could be wrong.  By the way the podcast is still live right now and the news was posted before the podcast even started.  Also there happened to be 2 or 3 stories for the past 3 days about the Sony MMO.  Sony MMO news is bigger than most of the news that has been said on the show.  Also an interview is still news.

It's already been stated that some press outlets were given lead time on the story. That means that they'd be releasing info prior to 6/11. No other mags have reported any new games besides The Agency.... so if there are mags with lead time on another game... WHERE IS THAT GAME?! The only game recently announced in any mags is The Agency.

*sigh* It's a game... he said they saw in-engine clips that made them say wow. Like I said, he already hinted in his forums that The Agency was the game being referred to. The fact that 360 gamers can only dream about the game probably just hints at the fact that it's a game being made by Sony and thus won't appear on their console.

Well from IGN's article... there's some kind of PvP Anytime feature that will be new to the genre as well... so it does sound like there will be the opportunity to go against different guilds at any particular time. Plus, I believe that the game mode they focused on was called Global Domination, or something like that, so it sounds like it could get pretty intense. Sounds like it's still kind of early in development, but hopefully we at least get to see the same clips they saw at E3... or maybe those are the clips that won't be available until 6/11.

My guess is that it will be free to play... shouldn't be any different than Warhawk, SOCOM: Confrontations, or any other online only games IMO. But they did state that pricing was not discussed... so we'll see. The only way I'd pay to play it is if they gave you a free trial and it just ended up being so addictive that it really seemed worth paying for... otherwise, I don't care how awesome it looks, I probably wouldn't pay to play it... Even though I like WOW more, I'm still a loyal Guild Wars player instead for the simple fact that it is free.

YUP!! GW fan as well.  GW has spoiled me.

Yes, but it was only announced in magazine publications... the only websites I saw with the announcements sourced PSM Magazine with the info.

Yea, but that is why this is still exciting news for me... because we DO know what great fun MMO's can be. Imagine that same thrill ride for free w/ beefed up graphics and innovative gameplay on the PS3 and it is a very interesting proposition.
