720P Display Issues :(

Hi Folks,

Forgive me if this has been covered before, but i can't find a solution and it's driving me nuts.

I have my PS3 connected to a LG 42" Plasma display via a HDMI cable.

When i set the PS3 to use 720p, the screen flashes as if it's 'untuned', snow and static flash across the screen for about 2 minutes, then the screen goes black and i get a 'No Signal' message until i reboot the PS3 and even then, it does it again after reboot.

I've tried 2 different HDMI cables and no joy.

Any ideas? - am i being a total noob and missing something stupidly obvious :oops:

I would be really thankful of any help.

Ummm are you sure you are on the right Channel like (Video 1, Video 2 Etc)

Try Component cables maybe your hdmi port is busted

Never seen that issue except from my direct tv box and it was broken when it was doing that so
