720P looks better then 1080P why?

i got a question for you guys and its bothering me....

i played gta4 on both 720p and 1080p, 720p resolution looks way better, 1080p was just fuzzier and was just darker... same with when i played Dead space when i switched to 1080p it looked fuzzy, it just didnt look right on 1080p... how come 720p looks way better then 1080p? or is it just me? i got an LG 42' 1080P 42LB5D TVby the way...

with mgs4 on the back of the box it says that its a 720p game but when u play it on a 1080p tv it goes to 1080p, some people on this forum think that 720p actually looks better for mgs4, i can't really tell the difference between the two and beside with an lcd tv it technichally just upscales it anyway.

also i borrowed gta4 from a friend while the lense in his ps3 was getting fixed and i tried both 720p and 1080p and yes it does give it a fuzzier look, i remember ign preferring the 1080p, i geuss its just personal preference

there are only a few games that i know of that were designed for 1080p; wipeouthd (although it uses some form of magic upscaling to get 60fps) and tekken5 dark resurrection online(the psn one), there are probably other ones but i do not know of them.

Also, I just play at whatever resolution my TV defaults at.
Games like MGS4 defaults at 1080p, while others like Dead Space at 720p.
No point in messing with it in my opinion.aflakian

eey yo sup guys umh i asked my dad a tv for my room which tv should i get a 720p or 1080p can you personal message me please peace and i think 1080p is more for home theatre and watching blu-ray movies every website i go i see bluray ft a 1080p tv and it supports 1080p only the best bd players
