i think it all depends on your set

i prefer 1080i for both even though some say that 720p is better for games

i have no problems with 1080i

my bro-in-laws set has better quality at 720 so he plays at that res.

just my opinion though so just check out both resolutions on your set and see what YOU like best

Also it doesn't much matter since a TV either does one or the other, not both, and 1080p TV's upconvert both. Kill this thread with fire.

1080p isnt really that noticeable in anything under 46" anyways so it really wouldnt have mattered

and most tv's over 46" that do 1080p are a shot to the wallet

Yea a TV cant do both at the same time. But a TV can have both.

And I think almost any HD made as of now has 1080p. And thats how it will be from now till whenever. It willbemusthave basic in 2 years. All cable companies will go to HD as a norm eventually. Direct TV is already doing so somewhat. HD all around is a sure hitting. From not seeing any HD hardly at all, just over a year ago, to how many their is now. Its changing vary fast.
