I'm sure questions like this get asked a lot... But I've been running my new 32" Sony Bravia at 720p since I first got it. Just curious if its best to keep running it at 720p or switch it to 1080i? I know there are ups and downs with both, but I mostly play games on mine and watch the odd bluray. I just want to know which will work best for those usages. Thanks!

720p is always the better resolution when compared to 1080i because 720p is progressive not interlaced.

Unless you're sitting 3 feet away from the TV, the resolution difference would be negligible. And like Flame_Blade88 said, the 1080 would be interlaced, so stick with the 720p.

I have said forever that the difference between 720p and 1080p is negligible. Now the difference between 720 and 1080i is pretty substancial and 1080i to 1080p is even greater. However, unless you are watching a HDTV with a screen bigger than 46", 720p and 1080p are basically identical!

I would set it to 1080i

The PS3 usually selects the native resolution for whatever you are playing anyway
