Is anybody holding off until the 80 gig becomes avaiable or are you settling for the 40

i got my 80 at walmart but it was the mgs4 bundle pack if your a fan of mgs i suggest you get it but if your not probably get the 40

you want to play ps2 games get an 80gb now,the $399 80gb wont be able to play them from what ive heard,

but if you dont care about ps2 games buy a 40gb then later upgrade you hdd.

I already got a 40GB PS3 since I couldn't find the MGS4 bundle anymore during the time I purchased it.

I wouldn't recommend a 40gb PS3 with all these games having to be installed on your HDD now.

At least he canstill upgrade the harddrive to a larger size. That's one of the things I love about this system.

I would have liked the bigger HD, but this just wasnt an option in the UK. I have downloaded quite a lot but the space doesnt seem to go down that fast. Don't care about backwards capatability... i mean, who here played their old ps1 games on their ps2 games for more than a few weeks after you bought it.

I did. For many years I continued to in fact. And now I even play some of those games again with my PS3.
