Best of the lot is 60. That is if you like backwards compatibility. Trouble is 20 and 60 are discontinued. Look for them used at gamestop etc.

80 is about to become discontinued, if it hasn't already.

Which leaves the 40. At present time

if thats true that the 80 gb is being disco'ed then id say get that... well acccccctually get a 60gb if you can find it, but its getting harder and harder to find them. youd need to get it used ( or if your lucky, new) off ebay, you'll be hard pressed to find it in stores anymore. so yea.. if 80gb will soon be gone and you want backwards compatability then buy 80 or 60. otherwise the 40 gb isnt that bad... you only lose 2 usb ports(no problem) , card reader (not really that important, use a usb flash drive) and obviously, 40 gbs of space(go buy a250gb 2.5 inch sata drive 140 bucks on amazon and slap that in) ...plus give it a bit and the ps2 will be ridicuolsy cheap to buy new... and you can sjut use that for your ps2 games iosntead

I think you should try to get a PS3 in order by model: 60, 80, 40, 20.

Wait until June when the 80GB MGS4 bundle comes out, it has the 80GB PS3 (that has BC), MGS4, and a DS3 for $499.

Nothing wrong with the 20 GB. I have a launch version myself and the only thing that may matter to you is the lack of Wi-Fi. Otherwise find one used/new for cheap cheap cheap.

It's got hardware backward compatibility to boot, and the HD on PS3 is easily upgradeable for cheap.
