Listen guys, people said that the only difference between an 80gb ps3 and a 60gb ps3 is the EE chip. Instead it was replaced by another type. The model i got was exactly like the 40gb ps3. I cannot play ps2 games whatsoever, 2 usb ports, the cover that you can flip with a NORMAL ps3 is not even there. (So no SD slots!) and if there is anything else remind me. (What i listed were the bad aspects of a 40gb ps3, but for some reason, are found in my 80GB PS3!!!!!) Mine costed $400, and it gave me one that should've costed probably $300, because there are some that are the normal version of an 80gb ps3 and cost $400.

The 80g, is the same thing as the 40g system. Just a bigger hard drive. There other one that you are thinking of, the mgs4 system.

a few months ago they stopped producing the BC 80gb PS3. They now only make the non BC 80gb and non BC 160GB PS3.

sorry for your luck dude. had you been a few months earlier, you'd have a ps3 like the one i have.

Only a very limited edition of the 80GB PS3 can perform the features you listed. No offence, but if you don't do your research before splashing out $400 you're a fool.

The MGS4 bundle was a bundle that had the original ps3 80 gb system that cost $500, but then sony decided to drop the price to $400, removing all the features listed above^. Anyways here is a good link to show the comparisons of all the PS3s.

Just scroll down to the chart:
