I want to buy a PS3, perferably an 80 GB one, but I've heard that it only has two controller slots? If this is true, what do I do in order to get four players? Because I sure as hell would rather play Little Big Planet with four people instead of two.

Also, a discounted PS3 would be much appreciated. Same with a discounted Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Metal Gear Solid IV, Little Big Planet, and Motorstorm: Pacific Rift. If you can find any of those four games for less than 60 dollars, please tell me! Also, a PS3 with some special deal or less than 400 dollars would also be appreciated.

Thank you very much in advance!

even if there are only 2 usb ports that the controllers can plug into, the controllers themselves are wireless and up to 7 can be connected at once on any version of the ps3

I don't think the PS3 has any dedicated controller slots- your probably thinking of the USB ports. This is because the PS3's controllers are wireless- one console can support up to 7 of them at once. You can however, use the USB ports to keep your controllers connected and recharge their batteries. (Using USB cords. The PS3 does come with one for the controller it comes with)

As for how many USB slots the 80GB has- I'm not sure, as I have the 40GB model, which only has two in front.

Also, I'm not positive on this, but if I recall, LBP only lets two people play locally- not four. If you want four players, you have to go online I think (Unless I remember incorrectly)

pretty much what everyone else is saying. you can still play a 4 player local game, but you can only recharge 2 controllers at once.

as for those discounted games, theres probably a bundle with one of them. you can also just look for used copies. blu-ray discs are very sturdy, so i wouldnt worry too much about getting a disc in bad shape.

Um pssst people hello buy a damn usb hub. A usb hub will plug into a usb port on the ps3 then split off and give you like another 6 or whatever the hub has. Ensure you get a powered hub i.e. one that plugs into the wall so all the devices don't drain power from the usb port on the ps3.

**** now I wonder if you can charge a controller off a usb hub that is plugged into a wall and not even plugged into the system or a computer. Someone should try it.

1. Plug the cord into the slot on the PS3 2. Attach any controller to the cord and press the PS Button on the controller 3. ??? 4. Profit!

Umm whats the point of the controllers being wireless again.....? Your never going to need more than two controllers charging to theres no point in having more than two slots. Though I do wish there were still USB ports in the back so I can always keep the headset charging stand plugged in.

DeathScape666

Amazon.com has MGS IV for $39.99 brand new, free shipping and no tax. You can buy used version of the rest of those games from amazon.com for about $10-$15 less than retail or new versions for about $5 less.
