I currently own a Nintendo DS but I really don't play with it as much as I thought I would. I asked to receive it from my girl for Christmas when I saw 'New Super Mario' since I'm a huge fan of Mario. Come to find out, the game passed my expectations. It's really one of the greatest Mario games I've ever played. But that's the thing, there's really not many other games I'm interested in. As for the PSP, there's enough games to keep me entertained for quite some time. I want to trade it [DS] in and purchase one but I heard a smaller version of it is coming out and I wouldn't want to purchase the current PSP knowing a new one is coming right around the corner. So is this true? If so, any news on it? Â
There been rumors of a psp2, but the normal psp dosnt really need a sequel. And sony gots their hands full with the ps3. the psp is good enoough for the public, and if they accually make a psp2 the cost for it will be somewhere around $300-$400, which is insane.

The psp is out for about 2 yrs, so 2-3 years until psp2 is reasonable. But 2-3 in computer term is like infinite. I wonder how much a 42" 1080p lcd will cost in 3 yrs, probably $500-600.
no it won't be coming out any time soon. And I can totally relate to your situation. I'm a huuuuge fan of 2D mario and I bought a DS basically just for NSMB. Turned out no other games interested me so I sold it for a PSP and never looked back. Â
Thanks everyone for the info. I just thought an updated version would come out soon cause I remember reading it around the net. Not a PSP2 but maybe one with more features and sliker style. Like the DS Lite. Â
