Now right now I have a DSi for pretty much just a convient wi-fi based portable internet but here is the problem IT SUCKS! It is just to slow and has no flash support. I am seriously considering trading in the DSi for a psp slim but I have a few questions first before I do that.

1. How much faster is the internet on psp slim compared to the DSi?

2. Can I access the internet through any wi-fi hot spot? (important for me. espeacially when I go on vacation and the motel I stay in has wi-fi)

Thats all I wanna know.

If you buy any of those you shouldn't have bought them because they can surf the web. The PSP typing is extremely slow compared to the DSi's. I recommend buying something else if you're looking for a portable device with an internet browser.

I have a DSi and a PSP, and I wouldn't base decision on either's web browser. They both pretty much suck.

The PSP is a bit faster and has like version 6 of flash, so tht basically doesn't count since there's not much that uses such an old version on the web anymore, haha. So, its not like you can watch youtube or anything like that either.

The DSi is a bit slower and I don't think has any flash capability. The DSi layout is much nicer looking and displays pagers much better, and the stylus navigation and zoom window work very nice. Selectiong links does take an extra try sometime when using the stylus to move around the page too. Typing in the DSi web browser is also much much better than PSP.

So, they both have ups and downs, so it really hard to give one a better than the other title. I personaly like the DSi's better, but that doesn't mean either really function as full fledged internet devices at all. So, definetely don't base your choice of handheld on this aspect; not worth it.

I have both. The PSP's is far worse than the DSi's. The DSi's is a little faster, has more viewing modes, and more convenient features. If you are dissatisfied with the DSi's, you might want to look for a device made specifically for portable browsing.

P.S. The DSi's browser is pretty fast for me. I actually use it instead of my laptop sometimes. It's a very good browser if you know how to use it.

Don't buy a PSP for a web browser. both are pretty much bad. The internet on both aren't as good as it would be on a phone (focused on this feature) or anything else. change for a PSP if you see a problem in wanting diffrent or other games. Besides that you better off with keepign your DSI.
