A few things the ps3 could do to make it better IMO.

I wish that You could callibrate the sixaxis so you could say where center is and how sensitive it is. Downloads of demos can be done with the system turned off and when they're done downloading they automatically install. you shouldn't have to wait for a game to install x amount of gigs on the hard drive befor you play it, and Last but not least custom soundtracks. These are my main gripes. I know the games are coming but if they fixed these little things it would make me happy.

For me.

1. Change the Sony hud to something similiar to the Xbox 360's dashboard. Or just copy it. The PSP format works fine for a handheld, but not so well for a console. Everything is too disorganized.

2. Make tracking you're friends easier. This relates to number 1, since the 360 Dashboard has a superb friends tracking list. We should also have the ability to answer a PM without having to quit the game we are currently playing. That's a no brainer and it's really tedious.

Everything else for the console is just fine for me. Since the PS3 has top of the range hardware, it will take longer to develop games for the system no matter what. So waiting for games to come out is really something we will just have to get used to. I have other systems to play, so I don't really mind.

dude...let firmware updates come and relax....yes the ps3 is an amazing piece of machine, but I like the ps3 the way it is..if you want another interface, play your 3-60... im tired of these damn threads..pnizz

it is anamazing machine...just look at their killer sales :|

Disorganized? I don't understand how you can think its disorganized. Yes it needs a few updates for friends list, chatting and listening to music while you game, and a few others, but I don't think its disorganized. In fact, I actually like the interface better then its counterpart, but it still has a long way to catch up, but its moving in the right direction.

He's right. All the updates are coming... be patient guys... the ps3 arrived about a year after the 360...

A few things Sony can do imo,

1) If the PS3 is to be a central media hub it should do the things people want a media hub to do and do it better. An example is, when transferring music, it should keep the names. Not only that, but it is silly that you can not pick through a stack of songs and choose say 10 or 15 from a playlist to listen too or even create a playlist at that.

2) Support all Codecs. That includes Divx and anything else. It is silly that you can mod your Original Xbox and it is leaps on bounds ahead of the PS3 when it comes to media uses.

3) Make a Universal remotethat is good enough to be used with all entertainment components. Seriously, the PS3 is supposed to be wicked highend yet youhave to own either a controller orSony's remote to use it becausea lack of IR. So stupid.

4) I also vote to redo the XMB. I find it odd that the PS3 will not support anyway to run a test to decided the best settings automatically based on your components.

Agreed. I don't play games with the controll directly horizontal. I find it really unconfortable when using the Sixaxis. I'm forced to sit up because its far to awkward when I am lying down. Rather annoying. Hope fully Sony can do something about it.

I think that in-game XMB will solve A LOT of the issues that I have with my PS3. The friends list simply isn't unified the way the 360 is. I think that is the biggest problem.

I would also like to be able to create playlists for my music...Why can't I make a custom playlist? That is something I'm not very happy about.

I would also like my PS3 to automatically detect my Bluetooth headset when it turns on. Why must I go and manually reconnect it everytime?

I would really like it if I could use my PSP (Remote Play) to turn my PS3 on and off from anywhere in the world. That would really enhance the value of my PSP.

Finally...I wish that the PS3 had some USB ports on the back of it...That way I could keep the front of it clutter free. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice.

Regardless...I love my PS3. It was a solid investment...even at the $599 I paid for it last Christmas. It's pretty hard not to fall in love with this machine once you own it. The games are surprisingly good only 1 year into its life...they will get better and better and better...and more diverse. It's PlayStation...that's the way it rolls.
