A good offline Multiplayer Experience?

I just bought my ps3 slim with an extra controller, I bought a couple of games and I feel stupid now I just realise none of those games support offline multiplayer, -considering my budget is 30 bucks- which game can I buy to make good use of the extra controller?

I dont believe such thing exists. I mean, theres always like a racing game or Skate 2 which was fun for me, but I cant think of any great ones.....

SOUL CALIBUR 4!! its like 20 dollars at gamestop i think

Oh yeah, this one wasnt bad. But if you want to spend more time on a game, get Street Fight IV. I think its the same price, but the gameplay is much better and much more addicting and challenging in my opinion.

I only bought SC4 cause I heard Darth Vader was badass. But it turned out really fun. I've never tried Street Fighter IV before. I'll pick it up when the price drops.

idk I think I may consider Soul Calibur, Anyway it's pretty sad that burnout doesn't support split-screen

Unreal Tournament III - $12.99 Used at Gamestop.

I think it has splitscreen + bots in a patch.

Soul Calibur FTW!!!! If you do buy the game I don't recommend you buy the yoda add-on from the psn store. its a rip-off. cmon man $5 for a little green midget that cant be grabbed????

Yeah, darth vader for ps3, yoda for 360, I love that XD I just like street fighter because its very technical and actually takes skill. Really good way to spend some freetime :P

CoD4 is fun offline.. well for a while. Other than that i suggest Army of Two and LittleBigPlanet(of awesomeness)

I am a huge fan of offline gaming myself. But I don't know if they fit your budget, may be find used copies over craigslist.Try these: 1) Resident Evil 5 - has great coop 2) LittleBigPlanet - has great coop and some very very limited and lame competitive multiplayer 3) Soul Calibur 4 - good game, but it doesn't have 8 man team battle or tag battles in versus mode, so your limited to regular battles which are pretty good. Motorstorm has splittcreen multiplayer, I haven't played it but I think it should be great fun. For a full list of Coop offline games try : http://www.co-optimus.com/system/2/playstation_3.html

get LittleBigPlanet GOTYE (it comes with $30 worth of DLC) when it comes out later this year.

Resident Evil 5 seems like it would be a good choice for co-op.
