I can't wait till all of us grow up (even if your older than lets say 21) and have more say in the politics of this industry. Its a crime (literally its against the law) what is happening to a lot of these games due to censorship and lawsuits. A Whole gameplay element thats practically seperate from the rest of the game (well not really cus its GTA but you kinda know what I mean, it adds a whole new level of gameplay ideas in the open world) is being taken out because people think people are going to reenact 9/11.....in a video game. Oh boo hoo, go look at youtube and there will be plenty of people making fun of 9/11 but we don't do anything about that free speech, or what about all the conspiracy theories? why don't we try to snuff them out too, or hey lets just turn this world into Fahrenheit 911 and burn all da video games down!!!!!
You see where we are heading? We've got to stop this nonsense, instead of focusing on what people watch, listen, eat, drink, or play (even drugs imo) we should be focusing on our ECONOMY, war efforts (and efforts to get out of war and keep it that way), peace, and love (so im kinda a hippie!). Instead we (well not me, or we....but them? the government and majority voters, lawyers, people in "power") stifle our own creativity and progress, when we should be working to improve our way of thinking, our way of life.
Im sorry but it just really pisses me off that all this is happening to GTA, not because I love GTA and I really enjoyed the new planes in SA (like the fighter jet.....good times) but because its going to hurt our society. Even aside from this look at Hot Coffee!!! I've seen much worse boobies (well nice boobies actually) in movies, Killing Me Soflty with Heather Graham, Monica Belluci in that one movie where she gets raped ina tuneel, Brown Bunny with Chloe Sevigny where its EXPLICIT (like a prono you see it all!), and what about Violence? Ive read books that go into so much detail I sometimes want to throw up, Ive seen snuff films and gore flicks that show limbs being decapitated and then you see all the puss and muscle on the inside. Come ON!!!!! Video games are no where near this detail yet (they will be), and even if they were its a virtual world, its fake, ust like the movies, songs, and books (not songs and books so much so but they can be very real sometimes non-fictional stories and songs based on actual experiences in their life). Oh no some kid flew a virtual plane into a fake skyskraper in a fake imitation of new york city, he must be planning some treasonous act, better stop this! god im so sick of this bs.
im kinda pissed there'll be no planes too, but only because i love making nice manuevers around buildings (downtown los santos), so i do agree somewhat with above poster, but then again i know why they would censor it, but there will probably be a cheat code to fly a plane anyways so whatever
Yah that blows that there won't be any planes, one of my favorite parts in SA was taking the fighter jet over the military base and getting into dogfights and as soon as the jet would start to smoke I'd fly into the stratosphere and jump out(with or without a parachute). But I kinda agree with the rant above about censorship, it's really getting stupid. *cough cough gamespot cough cough*
