A message from Kevin Butler?

So I just got like three messages through psn saying if you send a forward to 35 people explaining we don't have to pay for psn thenyou'll get $37 dollars on your account. Obviously this sounds like total crap that kids would fall for. But...I was just wondering if there was any validity to the message?

It's just spam. Ignore it.

I get these stupid-ass chain mails all the time. Too bad I can't block the senders because they're my gullible cousins who keep forwarding them to me.
They're so stupid. The bottom of the last one said:

Well I don't know about deleting them altogether...Maybe our friends are poor innocent saps that don't know any better. Now if someone tries to sell me sneakers or some crap they're gone!

When spam messages started I figured they would end very soon since I didn't think any normal minded person would actually believe them. Oh how I was wrong..

Obvious fake is obvious.

Firstly, it's typed in broken grammar and it says Sony Entertainment Company, it's Sony computer Entertainment. An official message from Sony would be typed with proper grammar and would not say "Sony Entertainment Company." Secondly, Kevin Butler has no authority to access your account and add funds. Thirdly, (to my knowledge) there is no group of Sony moderators that moderate when you send this message. Finally, it's a waste of time and money to actually do this, there's no point to it.

Spam. Ignore it. I've already got it sent to me like seven times.

I just got spammed by someone most likely for posting in this thread and they thought they were being cute to send it to me. It's amazing how people thrive on being annoying

No message is ever tracked on PSN. Ever. You will never receive any money from passing a message on. Ever. The copy and paste function was the worst thing to ever happen to the PS3...

Spammers: Friend List ---> Block List.

I get like 5 from strangers(delete and block)

I get like 3 from friends(tell them to look at my comment and if they do it again delete and block)
