Before discussing the possibility of a new game, I think Konami should discuss the possibility of re-issuing MGS:PO. That game is out of print and relatively rare, considering the popularity of the series and the critical acclaim of the game. It took me quite a while to hunt down a used copy of it.

MGS: PO had the 3D style of gameplay from MGS3, which in my opinion didnt work on a handheld. It was too complicated to keep track of all the controlls. I would perfer more of a MGS1, top view style of game. But yeah, more Metal Gear would be cool.

Sure if it's better than all the other MGS on the PSP. I never tried the Acid Series but I got MGS Protable Plus and really didn't like it. I just couldn't figure it out but I really didn't enjoy it. No real story, playing as charcter that u pretty much don't care about.....I lreally enjoy the MGS series (I have played pretty much all of them but MGS 4....I feel a bit sad.....for that....). Plus the controls for MGS Portable + were controls were a bit werid....

It took me awhile to get into MGS: PO, but once I did I was hooked. I did get kind of tired of dragging people around, though.

Perhaps, but the controls would need some serious work, that's what killed MGS: PO for me.

It would be great to have another MGS for the PSP. What sort of story would you want to see on it?

That might not be a bad idea - I've been thinking of investing in Portable Ops, but this talk of unfriendly controls is a bit discouraging. Anyway, if one does come out, I would prefer a colder, more ruthless Snake. Less maudlin ruminations on the nature of war, loyalty etc, and more shooting people in the knees the second they don't do as he tells them.

The controls in Portable Ops were a nightmare from what I saw. If only there was a second analog stick... I'd be all over that.

Though I have never been a fan of the series I have always been impressed by it's integrity... as I undrsatnd it, the card battle version is even somewhat rockin'... so my hopes are with you, though I saw what had to be about four titles of MGS on the shelf tonight when I went game buying... have you beaten them all? I though those games were known for their FF-like length and crazy depth?

How's the online shooter? Is it completely hacked and full of cheating? Looks neat, does it have offline solo play? i DL'ed the demo, but there's nothing to do in it (as it is obviously an MP map)...

:P

So by investing in Portable ops you plan to make a profit off of the game in some way over a period of time? But I'd say you should get it, the controls are bad but once you get used to them which isn't very long you'll get hooked. But while we are at it lets have an M rated Mario game and a LittleBigPlanet with like guns and sackboy is like this ruthless hitman guy who drives around a motorcycle that goes KABOOM!
