A movie is comming as a videogame for ps3

According to an article in kotaku.com Saw is coming to a videogame for ps3....

Thus it seems (for the comments below that article) that I`m the only one (or one of the FEW) that think this could be a good game, I wanted to post this.

I think taht if done properly this can be a creepy good videogame, either if you play as some killer or the a victim trying to scape (would like teh second one more, thus [spoiler] in Saw world the victims hardly do this... [/spoiler]

BTW: I honestely am one of tose "kids" taht like *** movies. I like teh 1st one, and the way the third putr together all the details I think it was a pretty good psych thriller/horror. Is not a oscar winner, nor an any price of any kind... but is a good one, imo :oops:

So what do you think??? The game would be coming to ps3. So would you track it?? or read this and forget about it, pretend it never happen....

Hello Chang, long time no see :). I am quite a big fan of the Saw movies and I am looking forward to seeing what they do with this game. My idea was to do it sort of like Indigo Prophecy (or Fahrenheit) and have the story done from lots of different perspectives (Jigsaw, the vitcims and the cops). Gathering clues as the police to track Jigsaw down, Jigsaw (or an apprentice) evading capture and controlling things from behind the scenes and the vitims trying to stay alive in Jigsaw's sick games.

I would probably track it just to see how it would turn out. But, if it turns out to be rubbish (as is often the case with movie games) then I won't buy it.

yea.. you (bot of you) are right, I mean if is bad, is bad. But i would defenetely be intersting, I would not yiled NO without even seein screens, nor gameplay.. :?

You said it, i love horror movies but hate Saw. Terrible movies IMO, its like they cant come up with anything original on Halloween anymore.

And why Saw of all movies? Besides the fact like someone stated movies from games, and games from movies usually suck anyway

Yeah this SAW game will suck if it plays out anything like the movies. It will be just like those crappy CSI games.

I've only seen the first one and I thought the ending was so stupid that I decided never watch any of those dumb movies again.

The game will quite possibly be just as bad.

As for the whole Indigo Prophecy idea, why would you want to help a sick bastard torture innocent people, I'd just not do anything and run straight to the police. Indigo Prophecy worked because you were basically innocent, so there was an incentive to proceed with the story.

This is only the third thread today...:roll: What do you people do? See the priginal post and then decide to make your own thread on it?

I usually watch them on halloween cause me and my friends have this one halloween movie night and we usually go to the theaters and watch saw

I don't even know why they bother. Games based on movies or Movies based on games (with the exception to Tomb Raider and Resident Evil) is never a winning formula. I like all the SAW movies ever made but I can almost bet the bank that this game will flop hard.

Eh... sounds like a way to drum up publicity more than anything. I'd rather find out what happened to all those other movie-to-game ideas like The Good, The Bad And The Ugly, Dirty Harry and Aliens.Generic_Dude

I'm not sure about the other two, but there are two different Aliens game projects in the pipeline. There aren't many details on the games yet but one will be an RPG along the lines of Mass Effect and the other will be an FPS.
