killzone 1 was a mediocre game which got something along the lines of 6, and resistance was not even that good. could you not have said something like mgs4, that would have produced a better argument. i have both a 360 and ps3, and halo is definately better than resistance and killzone.

Last time I checked, alot of gamers out there considered halo 3 to be overrated. I personally don't find halo all that engrossing from a storyline/gameplay standpoint.

It's not a bad game but its not that great IMO. Anyways, the PS3 doesn't have any exclusive AAA FPS yet.

Heres my take. People I've seen owning Xbox360: FPS lovers in the 11-45 age range (vast majority are guys). Every owner I know only talks about and plays the latest shooter game out there.

PS3 owners: Majority likes many different genres (Obviously due to owning a PS2 at least). Age range: 18-45 with the older side of it geared more towards Blu-Ray.

So even a Perfect FPS on the PS3 won't be as major as it would be if its on X360 or at least not right away. Most PS3 gamers like awesome graphics and depth which makes me think MGS4 and FFXIII are the best that the PS3 can do and games similar to them is all the system needs.

actually a 6.9, has a critic average of 7.3 and a gamers average of 8.2

What's not great about resistance? or at least extrmely poor. That was pretty awsome for a launch game and it can be fun by today's standards.

I don't hate Halo, but it's certainly not ground breaking in any way. It's just an old FPS, that isn't original, and has a huge fanbase. I honestly have no idea why people enjoy it so much, I found it to be a mediocre FPS game at best. But KILLZONE 2, and Resistance 2 definitely look equal, if not better then Halo. KILLZONE 2 has those amazing graphics, and the reason KILLZONE was such a mediocre title was because they were rushed to get it out during the holiday season. As you can see they are taking their time on KILLZONE 2, trying not to make any mistakes.

Resistance 2 is looking to be a great title, 60 player online, 8 player co-op, what else could you want? The story seems like it will be developing alot in the 2nd installment, so that's something we can all look forward to.

Both of those games are better then Halo in every thinkable way, I don't think I will ever understand what is so appealing about Halo.

I'm sorry , but Halo 3 is the best console FPS ever, if you get a chance to play the game properly and play it online, you'l see why its miles ahead of the competition.

But as far as stealth shooters go, mgs4 is by far the best so the playstation does have an alternitive

Anyone could make the same argument for any other game they like, and you couldn't argue against them because they like everything the way that their favorite game does it. That's why this is so pointless.

I played the online before, and the offline. Neither were all that great. The kids online were annoying as hell, and the maps were just kind of boring. It's also not really hard to be good at it, I came in 3rd-1st in most games that I played, and that was my first time playing. And I'm not the greatest at using a 360 controller.

There is just nothing there that appeals to me in the slightest. It's so slow paced, and boring.

By 'playstation 3 company', I take it you mean Sony.

Halo 1 was an abover average shooter, Halo 2 is the same as Halo 1, and Halo 3 is the same as Halo 2. The series never innovated at all, just stuck to a (admittedly good) base. But Halo 3 is so overrated for what it actually is. Halo 1 is a superior game, and it was made like 6 years before 3.

Also, the entire series is a rip off of 'Ringworld' by Larry Niven.

Don't be so niave, if you ask every 360 owner, a majority will tell you Halo 3 is overrated, that includes myself.

'Best online', look, as much as you believe it is, it doesn't mean it is a fact, the online was fun, but I've experienced much better online, and trust me, near enough every gamer would agree.

'Endless possibilities online', this sounds more like advertisement slur then a fact, seriously.

'Good lengh sing player - took me 10 hours', ok, an average lengh game, doesn't make it any better then any other.

'Best ranking system', I agree it is good, but even Call of Duty 4 has a better system.

'Amazing character models', another opinion, amazing to you can be horrid to someone else. The character models were good, but not amazing in my OPINION.

So true. I second your statement!! I tried to play that game but I ended up abandoning it. It is so overhyped its not funny.

Microsoft don't own the rights to Halo Bungie bought them back. Anyway halo is not that good of a game doesn't a a good story that makes you want to play it again.

I disagree with every single one of those attributes based on my experiences with Halo 3 - and claiming that those are facts and not opinions just serves to make you look more foolish than before. I can obviously see that you're a huge Halo fanboy, and will only continue to argue any counterpoints I make with more "facts" so this is a useless conversation to continue and has frankly been a huge waste of my time. I thought resistence was the worst game ive ever played in years but halo isnt great either but at least its better. hopefully killzone 2 will be good its looking great so far hope they dont mess it up.ken8659
