I've bought a LG theatre system and when I try to connect opt in with my PS3, I noticed a strange problem. My receiver seems to be slow syncing with my ps3 and while there is no sound, it will, obviously produce no sound, but then when there SHOULD be sound, it needs a few seconds before making sound again.
But while I'm playing a game, there's no problem. but when Im listening to music or blurays, dvd or cd theres the problem. I've totally no idea whats going on.

Has anyone encountered this issue/problem and/or has a solution?
Any help would be appreciated

you might have better luck connecting all sound through your tv instead of your ps3, i just have the HDMI to my tv and then optical in on my tv from my surround sound and it does not have issues ever the last 4 years i have had it. Trying hooking it up that way and see if it helps

just do a red/white cables from your surround to your tv out and keep the HDMI from your ps3 to your tv it will work. It sounds awesome anyway there is not too much difference IMO. Try it and see what you think, just change to what your using in your set up under settings

I have some syncing issues between my PS3 and Samsung receiver. When it acts up, all I do is turn the receiver off then turn it on and the problem is fixed. My issues only happen when the PS3 is just turned on or if I go to play a game or blu ray. I think it has to do with changing resolution between 720 and 1080 but I'm not sure. It doesn't happen all the time.
