Hi! I need some help with my PSP! Everytime I exit a game, my PSP slowsdown. It gets very very slow, and it gets back to normal only when it gets in sleep mode. What should I do? It's really a pain in the neck, time-consuming, and fun-consuming.

The problem is that it's not from my UMDS. Even when I exit the Internet Browser, it starts slowing down. Even if I remove the UMDS. What should I do?!

What exactly do you mean by "slowing down"? Like the screen artifacts out, pixels remain lit? What? "Slows Down" seems like a broad description can you be more specific about the symptoms and events that lead you to perceive a "slow down"?

i.e. - "The icons on the screen don't completely disappear" or "There's this weird 'Please Wait' thing that pops up every time I shut it down and it goes into a freek-out and doesn't power down for like, five minutes".

I'd love to show you, but all I can do is to explain more detailed to you.

Let's say I'm playing Me & My Katamari. I want to exit the game. I exit the game, and the menu shows itself normally. After like 5 seconds or less, it appears for a fraction of a second a deformation of pixels in a row. After that, the PSP starts to run very very slow. Normally, if I hold the left button on the D-Pad (for example) it should go to settings very fast without stops. When my PSP slowsdown, it looks like I press the button once, and again, and again, and again. To load my UMD it takews like 30 seconds ( very unsual). If I want to see the saved files on my Memory Stick, I have to wait a minute to open the Memory Stick, and another minute to load one file. The PSP gets back to normal only when it goes to sleep mode, but it has to be in the menu. What should I do? Please help me!!!!!!

the way you describe it, it sounds like you have a "special" psp and that someone screwed around with the said "special" settings.

I don't know what your current firmware is, but maybe consider upgrading to a new firmware; also, maybe try backing everything to your desktop off of your psp and format the memory stick. You know, the basics.
