a ps3 slim problem

hey guys

i bought a slim 120g2 weeks ago

but i really feel the hot air coming from the back panel and the cables gets realy hot and the cover near the back is hot as well .

is this normal ?

and by the way when i play some games i can hear the ps3 body giving a sound like a "crack" like the body is stretching or smthn

is this normal too as it is new?

It happens to every slim, it's normal. The "crack" sound is because the heat causes the plastic to expand. Again, normal. And a little annoying.Floppy_Jim

and to be honest that crack sound is creepy !

yeah..they shoulda made'em with a better fan or cooling device..L.A.Z.Y. lol

Perhaps the newer version slim wont have the cracking noise-Thats the one with the even smaller chipset,that will run cooler than present slims.

Yeah, I find the cracking sound even happens for up to an hour after I've turned the PS3 off. I'm like "WTF DID SOMEONE'S LEG JUST BREAK????" Nope, PS3.Floppy_Jim

Yes its normal for the slim to get hot.

The cracking you hear is the plastic expanding it will stop after a while it happened to mine too.

Yeah, it happens to me too. My PS3 slim makes cracking noise :)
