a question about high definition

if i plug a ps3 to my old fat crt tv

i assume that i will be watching an image with much lower resolution

than how its meant to be displayed

so does it mean, for example, that graphic content will just dissapear?

for example, if i need to find a very small red crate on screen

it might  just simply not appear \ appear flawed and messed up

in the old fat tv?

My brother noticed a difference right away with Guitar Hero II on the
360 SDTV compared to how it was on the PS2. It's much cleaner and
smoother.
