You'd have to find some way to transfer the data from your Memory Stick to either a Memory Stick Micro or the PSP GO's internal memory; likely via PC. There's no reason as to why the data wouldn't work, but it's just a drag since the GO doesn't use the same format.

If you use the Media Go software on your PC that comes with the PSP, you should be able to save the data to your computer, and then transfer it over to your GO when you need to, either to the hard drive or the micro memory stick. This is just speculation, as I'm not sure if there is a discrepancy between the micro memory sticks and the other type the 1000-3000 use. Since it is the same type of data file, it might be okay.

If you right click on the data on your save files, there is an option to transfer it to the computer.

Hope this helps!

Some games lock the ame save so you can't use it on another PSP full stop (Gran Turismo for example) and others it depends on the region i.e. a game save for the US version of Flatout HeadOn won't work with an EU version of the game. Hope that helps :)
