Don't get a Toshiba brand TV. They have overscan on all models, which cuts off part of the screen on all sides. I don't know about the other brands, but don't get Toshiba.

I know because I have one. You probably have'nt noticed it, because I did'nt at first. But now that I see it, it's really annoying.

All televisions have overscan. Just varying levels. Toshibas is a brand that usually tends to have around 2 or 3% over scan. Tv's by Samsung and sony have options to eliminate overscan. Samsung's is called Just Scan. It brings it down to 0% overscan on 1080p and .5% on 720p models that support it. I got the information on CNET from reviews and what not.

I know what you mean I used to have a Toshiba 26" 1080i CRT TV that did a noticeable amount of over-scan for example on the PS store the edges would be cut off. Now I have a Sony Bravia 40" 1080P LCD TV and I don't notice any over-scan, whenever I'm on the PS store the picture fits perfectly on screen.

I have a 26in Toshiba, and it has horrible overscan, which sucks completely because then i can only run my PS3 in 480p, anything higher cuts of like 3 inches of the screen, is there any way to fix this?

Sony, Samsung, Sharp makes best LCD's. Pioneer, Panasonic, Samsung makes the best Plasma's. Stick with these brands.
